Elderly person receiving an unknown call on their smartphone, illustrating phone scam awareness

It has come to our attention that individuals are making phone calls while fraudulently claiming to represent Pioneer Healthcare Services. These callers are specifically requesting sensitive Medicare information, including Medicare numbers, Social Security details, and personal health data, from people they contact.

Pioneer Healthcare Services is a travel therapy staffing company. We have no reason to collect Medicare or insurance information, and we never do. If someone calls claiming to be from Pioneer and asks for any of this, that call did not come from us. We are actively working with the appropriate authorities to address this issue.

If you or someone you know has received one of these calls: do not provide any personal or insurance information. Hang up immediately and report the incident to our security team using the contact details on this page.

Protect Yourself If You Receive a Suspicious Call

  1. Hang up immediately. Do not engage, answer questions, or provide any personal information, not even partial details. Scammers can use fragments of information to piece together a larger picture.
  2. Do not call back unknown numbers. If you’re uncertain whether a call was legitimate, do not return the call to the number that contacted you. Instead, look up Pioneer Healthcare’s official contact details independently.
  3. Document what you can. If possible, note the caller’s phone number, the time of the call, and anything they said. This information helps our IT Security team and law enforcement in their investigation.
  4. Report it to us right away. Email your report to scamreport@pioneerhealthcare.com. Our IT Security team reviews every submission and coordinates directly with authorities.
  5. If you shared information, act quickly. Contact Medicare (1-800-MEDICARE), place a fraud alert with the major credit bureaus, and consider filing a complaint with the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.

Report a Scam Seen Something? Tell Us.

Every report matters. Our IT Security team reviews incoming reports immediately and works directly with law enforcement to investigate these incidents.

A note from Pioneer Healthcare Services: We are a travel therapy staffing company. We do not collect Medicare information over unsolicited phone calls, and we will never ask for sensitive personal or insurance data without a prior, verified relationship and explicit consent. If you are ever unsure whether a communication is genuinely from us, please reach out through our official channels before sharing any information.
