Back to School Season: Travel Opportunities Supporting Special Education

This past weekend, our team joined the San Diego community to walk for a cause that touches so many lives. Together, we surpassed both of our fundraising goals, raising more than $2,500 to advance Alzheimer’s research, expand local support services, and stand with families navigating this disease.
At Pioneer Healthcare, two of our core values guided every step: Community and Purpose Driven Care. Community means belonging: being seen, supported, and part of something bigger. Purpose Driven Care means every decision is rooted in compassion and measurable impact. Walking side by side with friends, partners, and colleagues brought those values to life.
About one in ten people over age 65 in the U.S. lives with Alzheimer’s or another dementia, and many families shoulder the care journey with limited resources. Local chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association step in with education, caregiver support groups, respite resources, and crisis guidance that make a real difference day to day. This continued research funding pushes forward earlier detection, better treatments, and most importantly, hope for the future.
Thank you to our team, travelers, partners, and friends who donated, walked, shared the event, and cheered us on. Your support shows what is possible when a caring community moves with purpose.
This is not the finish line. As a staffing partner dedicated to closing gaps in care across schools and healthcare facilities, we will continue to show up, through volunteer days, targeted giving, and partnerships that lift the families in our local community.
