Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy to patients to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising speech-language pathologist
- Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and patient progress
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions and interventions
- Must be certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association
- Must have an active Speech Language Pathology Assistant SLPA licensure in the state of the work assignment
